Custom Console Table

Here’s a console table we custom built lately for a new home on Beaver lake. We wanted a design to reflect the craftsman style of the house. The stainless steel base was expertly tig welded by our partner David Goodrich in Rogers, AR. With adjustable pins on the top and feet allows for a sturdy base and level top. The drawer base is unique in its design with one support bar and two even runners that the drawer slides over. The walnut slab was harvested in Jane, Mo and air dried for over 7 yrs. We left the natural edge to compliment the clean lines of the steel base. The drawer is constructed of fiddleback figured maple that had been destined for firewood. I designed the drawer around the live edge of the maple so it can be viewed when opening or closing the drawer. Book matched red oak finishes out the drawer bottom with a carved spalted maple pull to accent the walnut drawer face. Finally, we have the walnut shelf that sits an orchid or other piece of art for display.
