We love Maggie’s eye for awesome
Check out these 150+ year old heart pine stair treads which were reclaimed from ceiling joists repurposed for new construction in Downtown Bentonville, Arkansas. Heart pine which refers to the center, or non-living part of the Long Leaf Pine tree, for our inquisitive readers, takes an estimated 30 years per inch of growth. Because of mass deforestation in the early 1900’s, the best example of this wood is from reclaimed timbers.
